Wonderful pool area *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe area the hill between Portoroz and Piran and is located directly on the sea. The Esplanade along the sea is excellent and is suitable for long walks. We have booked bed and breakfast, our independence and even in the off-season there is a good selection of restaurants in walking distance, but at the price level in particular for seafood relatively expensive. The hotel Histrion was built in the 70s and unfortunately with small rooms in accordance with the former standard. There is only one chair for a double room, but you could avoid the Plastiksessel from the balcony. The only downside is the daily Balkonverschmutzung through pigeon droppings, which is not always entirely removed.
Location
The seawall is located in front of the hotel, no sandy beach. Both Portoroz and Piran (lovely town! ) are situated just 1-2 km away, in addition to Piran's why a. Restaurants in the area but also in the area.
As only room with booked breakfast, we can fully equipped with little experience here. The front desk staff were friendly and professional, the Poolbetreuung charming and the cleaning staff had the room at the handle balcony less.

Breakfast buffet with fresh vegetables, fruit had to be peel. Coffee machine in amazingly good quality.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool area is the asset for the Histrion. Heated, large and small seawater swimming pools, unobstructed view of the ocean. relaxation area for older separated from the adventure pools for children, about 6 hot tubs, bar available. We especially pleased, is the fact that the Slovenian bad habit of Barfußzwanges (slip and coli bacteria! ) Here has not been implemented and bathing shoes were necessary use. By the structure the baths there are more steps than usual (important for handicaps) Unfortunately there are towels only for a fee, this is for 4 stars were actually unacceptable.
Room
Apart from the littleness functional and clean, satellite-TV with 7 international channels.
Tips and recommendations
If you want beach, this is the wrong house but makes up the pool area. Travel time isn't fully open in March.
