Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed here for the second time in this hotel. Manolis/owner and the German speaking Elisabeth have once again excellent care of us and other guests. This year we had a room with a sea view. 103-without extra charge. Rooms are simple, as in Greece, room size was completely OK, balcony, tv-unfortunately very often (2 German) programmes fell drastically change channels because the LT-but we were on holiday. Refrigerator and air Cond. against fee (€3, -or €7 for AC, -per person. For guests with children is the hotel because of its short transfer time and close to the beach in any case recommendable! There are three beaches (Amoopie Bay (sandy beach), sandy beach/Golden beach and stone/Pebble beach, which is attached to the hotel. Beach chair and umbrella for a fee! cost about 6-9 euros for three chairs and an umbrella. When using the stone/Kiesl State are bathing shoes are recommended. Crystal clear water-great diversity of food and beverage choices.
Breakfast for Greek standards extremely good and plenty of choice. There was coffee, tea, cocoa, different sorts of bread, sausage, honey, jam, fruit juices, hard boiled eggs, cakes.
At the beach diverse taverns-all very good food and reasonably priced almost the same amount.
Daily bus service to pigadia. Last bus at 18 o'clock, cost per person €1.60 children; unfortunately, there is no night bus back to amoopi-so taxi about €10, -. In pigadia three supermarkets; worth it because of the high prices for food etc. this to compare. We found the cheap supermarket with the taxi. Current fuel to Karpathos : €1.89 for gasoline!
Elisabeth with Council at guests 'disposal and always had great tips for the numerous (nearly deserted) beaches on the island. In this regard, with a rental car the beaches in the area of the site visit at the airport. There is no beach chairs but almost only a few tourists. Great water quality, also on the beach you will find many clams...
Also recommended is the beach in Agios Nikolaos Akassa. For children because of the waves in the ocean was just great. With the car one should also the typical Greek villages Piles, Othos, volada and aperi visit. In aperi very good meal in the tavern on the main street. English-speaking owners, very, very nice and food was really tasty.
So we can recommend this hotel without hesitation. Many thanks to Mr Manolis and Elisabeth for the successful holiday!
