Nice and comfortable stay in the heart of Lucerne
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AInteresting architecture, outstanding cleanliness, breakfast included. The hotel was large enough to be easily found after leaving the train station, but still small enough to avoid crowds and feel like home.
Location
Located in the heart of Lucerne; close to the main rail station and near to the river bank.
A great place with a direct rail connection with the airport e. g. in Zurich.
Very friendly staff; hard to rate as we had no special wishes.
Gastronomy
Tasty breakfast menu, various options also for vegetarians.

Room
Our double room was cosy, quiet and nicely furnished. There were: a safe, TV, hair dryer, towels (replaced daily). It had a lot of useful things to offer, like electric kettle with tea, coffee and sugar (replaced daily). The cleanliness was even better than expected and the room was cleaned every day.
Tips and recommendations
In January 2010 it was about 0 degree Celsius, cloudy, no snow in the city. People were driving scooters and bikes.
The prices are lower in the Winter season.
As a restaurant is situated in the hotel, towels and tea/coffee set are in the room and cosmetics in the bathroom, you really need to take just few things with you.
