A gem of a hotel
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFriendly well organised welcome. Slightly old fashioned service which was delightful. A pity more hotels are not like the Wegenerhof.
A great place to stay for lovers of fine Bordeaux wines.
Location
Superb location & great views down the valley.
All services excellent. Very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Staff were all charming and very polite, but with a nice sense of humour. Made to feel welcome from the moment you stepped over the threshold.
Gastronomy
Set evening menu but choice of main course, and plenty of choice at the buffet, for extra courses like salad & cheese or alternative desserts. Good wholesome food, well presented.
Buffet breakfast was equally good with plenty of choice & plenty to eat.
The hotel has an extraordinary list of wines from Bordeaux. There is a huge list of both Cru Bourgeois and classed growth wines at very reasonable prices.

Sauna available which we did not use.
