Hotel Wengener Hof

The hotel is just next to the village center of Wengen and within walking distance of the Männlichen skilift. It is possible to put your skis and boots in the ski room at the sister hotel Silberhorn right on the Männlichen skilift.
The Jungfrau skiing area is great for all levels and offers you breathtaking views. A disadvantage of Wengen: Wengen itself does not offer sufficient après ski possibilities for teenagers and young adults and is not lively (no open air bars for après ski for instance). The blue decent from the pistes to the village is not so nice (the last part of the black Worldcup slope was closed).

Warm welcome by the manager Giovanni Caltabiano and great service by the always friendly staff with a good sense of humor.
They arrange everything for you (such as skipasses without additional charge) and will do their utmost to enable you to relax and just enjoy your stay.

Extremely good cuisine offering you a five course dinner every evening with a great variety of dishes, elegantly served to you by efficient and friendly waiters and waitresses.
At Christmas piano music and of course nice Christmas decoration (tree with real candles) adds to the nice and warm atmosphere.
Breakfast is very nice as well with all you would desire at the start of your skiing or hiking day.
Elaborate wine list with very nice wines against afordable prices.

Good size of the rooms with older but efficient and not worn down furniture. In due course the rooms will need a face lift and some modernization.

You may want to take your own laptop computer to connect to the wireless network of the hotel since the internet access pc eats 2 SFr per 5 minutes.
