Hotel Wengener Hof

The Hotel is perched on a ridge at the edge of the Village with stunning views from the Balcony's and returaunt over the Lauterbrunnen Valley on one side and the Jungfraujoch and Mannlichen towering above the vollage on the other. the Centre of Wengen is a short walk, but if you feel this is too much or have ski boots on, the Hotel provides a buggy service to where ever you need to get to.

The Hotel's staff are one of it's absolute strengths and they cannot be complimented enough. From check in, to porters, cleaners the staff are friendly, attentive and cannot do enough for you. The dining room and bar staff in particular stand out for their fantastic attention to detail.

The Hotel has a buffet breakfast with a wide and varied selection and a 5 course set dinner (with options for the main couse). There was always a vegetarian option. Once a week the Chef's serve dinner themselves and there is a 7 course gala dinner. The hotel does not offer an a la carte option in it's own dining room but does at it's sister hotel (a short walk away), but we have never been tempted to sample this as the quality of the hotel's food and silver service dinner has always been superb.

Th Hotel provides internet acccess and has some limited wellness facilities (sauna and solarium) with access to additional facilities at it's sister hotel. Ski and snowboard rentals are available in the village and the Hotel can organise ski and lift passes.

The rooms are comfortably furnished with everything you would expect (mini bar, TV and even an old fashioned valve radio).
