The best hotel in Wengen

There are 4 stories and (perhaps) 40 rooms.
It is very friendly, the staff are very efficient.
Location
The hotel is ideally placed away from the cluster of hotels in the centre.
The views are fantastic. Distance to the rail station is modest.

The dining room staff are efficient, prompt, and speak English
Gastronomy
Food was very interesting and the Buffet on one evening was outstanding.
At breakfast, a wide choice was available.
The Gala dinner was very good.

Room
Our front room overlooked the valley, which has an outstanding view.
The hotel is within walking distance of the station although my wife and I are 80+ and were met at the station and taken to the hotel.
We have now been to the hotel 4 times in the winter and once in the summer.
We have enjoyed all our visits.
Tips and recommendations
Fly to Zürich and go bz train. Use the Swiss Rail luggage system to avoid exertion at train changes. We cannot ski due to age, but enjoy walking which we did. It is possible to have interesting walks even when it is snowing. Go in late January or in May/June
