Wengenrhof - an excellent summer and winter retreat.

Location
Situated in a quiet part of the village approx 5 mins from the station on foot (or 2 mins by courtesy electric car.
The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Check in is quick and easy. The management are always ready to help in any way they can. The staff speak a number of languages and make guests feel very welcome.
Gastronomy
The quality of the food is excellent with well balanced menus and sensible portion sizes. Dinner is 5 courses. There is an extensive wine list. The buffet breakfast has both hot and cold options, including smoked salmon. Excellent fresh bread and croisants.
Sport & Entertainment
The hotel has its own boot and ski store but it is much more convenient to take advantage of the free use of their sister hotel (Silberhorn) facilities for storing skis and boots. The Silberhorn's wellness centre is really excellent.
Room
The rooms we had were a good size with all facilities (hair dryer, bathrobes, etc). Being south facing we had a balcony overlooking the valley.
Tips and recommendations
The last trip was in the winter for walking and skiing, but we have also stayed in the summer when there is access to a wide range of walking in the mountains.
