Winter vacation in Wengen 10 years since previous visit
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AFrom the moment we stepped through the front door we were made extremely welcome, and throughout our stay, all the hotel personnel, without exception, were genuinely warm and friendly. The food was absolutely superb and the hotel was spotlessly clean.
Location
Only a short walk from the centre of Wengen, including the train station, and with fantastic views over the Lauterbrunnen valley.
The service from everybody at the hotel, throughout our stay, was faultless.
Gastronomy
Both the quality and quantity of food suited our tastes admirably. Well done, and many thanks, to the chef, whom we met, and all his team.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Not used to any great extent, so no comment really.
Room
A large room, with plenty of space to relax, (and do Pilates!), with stunning views of the Jungfrau, and the Lauterbrunnen valley. We paid a little extra for this south facing aspect and balcony, but it was well worth it. The room was kept spotlessly clean, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Tips and recommendations
Can't really think of anything that wasn't provided, or available. During the first week of March, there was no queuing on the ski slopes throughout the week.
