Wonderful hospitality in a perfect location
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis hotel is set in lovely gardens just minutes from the village centre. Rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Those with south facing balconies (large) enjoy stunning views of mountains and Lauterbrunnen valley. The many repeat visitors at this time of year (average age older than in winter) are testimony to the hotel's consistently high standards. But there are plenty of newer guests too, from different age groups and different countries.
Location
The location is both peaceful and convenient. The jounrey from the airport is about 4 hours. The excellent local transport network makes it easy to explore this mountain region.
The hospitality at this hotel (combined with location) makes this hotel outstanding. The manager leads by example and he and his team will do whatever they can to make your stay both comfortable and happy. They gladly accomodate your special requests - if you return next year, whatever you asked for will be automatically in place. You will be made to feel as welcome as if you had come home. All staff have excellent language skills (German/English/Italian).
Gastronomy
We enjoy the excellent five and sometimes six course dinners in the elegant restaurant. These are well balanced and offer a good choice. The breakfast buffet is extensive.
Sport & Entertainment
This is no pool. However, wellness facilities at a sister hotel are readily available.
The public rooms include TV room, internet access and library.
Room
These are spotlessly clean and well appointed -TV balcony, coffee making facilities,
minibar, bathrobes on request. The south facing rooms offer wide balconies with stunning views. There is one junior suite which is superb.
Tips and recommendations
Early summer is a lovely time here with wildflowers everywhere. Expect some hot weather but be prepared for all types of weather.
