Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located on a busy street. In particular, the weekend we felt the noise of the motorcycles racing then numerous almost unbearable. But the noise in the evening after, at night it was mostly quiet.
Our room was large, but seemed uncomfortable. The decor was dark and probably a little older. The beautiful, bright furniture as pictured in the advertisement. I hope, that I can do a photo upload.
For us, it was much too little drawers to put 'stuff' the available. Probably there mostly short-term travellers. But for a longer stay we take more utensils. To request the hotelier, for example a small cupboard we felt absolutely not taken seriously. Similar ones in the request, but there was something to heat. Around eight degrees outside at night certainly not perverse... The complaint on heating then led to heated 1 night. Somehow we were then sorry, self-evident in such demand to holiday.
We come to the food:
Breakfast was until ten o'clock. At 8:45 A. M. some plates were cleared away and replaced often predominantly not. Every day there was the same sausage (cooked ham, raw ham, 1 salami, 1 beer ham, and kasseler) and Gouda. As far as Camembert was, it was put on the plates (!) narrow edge of gondola of the buffets. A multilingual business rags, they wanted to not throw everything down. We had the impression one of the weakest breakfast offers well-known hotels.
The dinner was served in the really beautifully furnished. Reminded us of a cafeteria the room. In the salad buffet there were among other things were sour, Böhnchen and so on in our opinion from the mainland came. We knew the area after a few nights salad not see more. Also the side dishes at the meals was bought ready. We have also told us, what a pangasius on the original waldecker seafood platter to. In addition to the US not purchasing quality and taste of the food were the portions very well arranged. We were glad, that after three days off from the half board. However, the comment was: 'you don't need to get angry and we are' absolutely not appropriate. We have limited the damage and we now only the cheapest food from the map made, only just a bit in the stomach to have. It was in the surrounding area unfortunately no trade-off opportunity!
The hotel was especially on the weekends very well visited. We felt however not. The area of the waldecker land region is really nice. We will definitely be going back again. We can recommend this hotel for a short stay. We were glad, when we after two weeks back home could.
