Beautiful city hotel *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe went there in December, so the whole hotel was decorated for Christmas after Asian style - for us gaudy - as the entire city. The hotel offered a free shuttle bus downtown. This left every hour from 7 am until evening 11 pm.
Location
The hotel was located about 45 minutes by taxi from the Saigon airport. It was recommended to book no transfer in the airport, but just in front of the airport building was a metered taxi to enter with taxi meter; it cost about VND 130,000, instead of VND 240,000 next to the Money Exchange desk. Opposite the hotel you will find a small 24 hour supermarket (important for buying water). Recommended also was the small dessert store (French specialties) diagonally in front.
The check-in on the 25th floor was very smooth and fast. The only thing that might disturb, if you came too late for excursions, also had to wait forever for a lift.
Gastronomy
In the executive lounge there were small delicious snacks, cake pieces and coffee and tea. The breakfast was sufficient for us; there was something for every taste whether hearty or sweet.
Sport & Entertainment
The hotel offered a gym, a pool and in the building there were karaoke bars and a disco.
Room
We booked an executive room, this was on the 25th floor. From there we had a marvelous view over Saigon. The "higher" category was definitely recommended, first of all the breakfast was included in the price and secondly the street noise volume was more muffled than in the lower floors.
