Hotel to be recommended
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe had a great time at the Winkler Hotel and would recommend it as a good base from which to undertake walks, cycle rides shopping trips to Merano/Bolzano & Bormio. For petrol heads like me it is a great base from which to cover many of the great road passes in Italy and into the neighbouring countries. The one pass which is a definite MUST is the Stelvio Pass. We actually rode across it 3 times, what an experience.
The only issue I have with the hotel is the lack of free WiFi as some of us still have to work whilst on holiday. Other than that great place to stay, lovely staff especially Werner & Hubert the bosses.
