A charming and friendly oasis

During our one week stay we were delighted to find a charming place where we felt at ease and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Our room was quite nice, not very big but very pleasant.
The breakfast was served from a buffet and you could sit in front of the sea. We particularly appreciated the different homemade cakes and desserts that were different everyday, but also the feta cheese, the omelets and the very good coffee.
The food in the hotel's restaurant was also very good and fresh food was served everyday that we highly appreciated.
Also the free internet access in the lobby of the hotel was very convenient as you could read your email while having a cup of coffee.
Location
The hotel is situated in a more quiet part of the village but with a very nice walk along the beach you can easily get near the harbour that is more animated with a lot of shops and bars if you need nightlife.
What is very convenient is the immedaite access to the beach, meaning you can go from your room to the beach in no time. There are free sunbeds on the beach which is a little bit rocky but enjoyable anyway.
We also liked the small mini market near the hotel very convenient for buying our cigarettes ! !
The staff and the service in Xenios zeus was very good. Discreet yet efficient you could have help each time you needed some. The service in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful and also the hotel manager was very available. The fact that french and english is spoken was also very helpful.
Gastronomy
We highly appreciated the food during our stay. The restaurant is open all day long serving fresh fish and traditional greek dishes prepared with care and with good ingredients.
Although you will not find haute cuisine in the restaurant ( xenios zeus is a two star hotel ) you will find a big variety of daily dishes authentic and very tasty.

Room
Our room was on the B building and looking to the garden. It was not very big but very convenient and clean. It was tastefully decorated and with a very personnal touch that we liked very much.
The balcony was looking to the garden and was very pleasant to sit and relax.
Although there are some rooms with renovated bathrooms, ours was not but yet was clean and very well equipped.
Tips and recommendations
I would definitely recommand Hotel xenios Zeus for the people who do not like big impersonnal hotels.
Xenios Zeus is a two star hotel that has a very good value for money and is dedicated to those seraching for a quiet and charming place to relax in a friendly environment.
You will not find luxury in the hotel but a true family place without pretence and full of authenticity.
A real oasis !
