Hotel Yasmin Resort Bodrum

Can I just start buy saying PLEASE DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS FOR THIS HOTEL , me and my girlfriend stayed here from the 12th October to the 17th October, this was our first holiday abroad together and it was absolutely amazing. I had many doubts due to some of the comments I had read on this review site, all the doubts that I had about this hotel were proved wrong . One of the main things people worry about is standards of cleanliness but I assure you that this hotel is one of the cleanest I have ever been to on holiday, I was extremely happy with the toilet facilities within the complex as these were cleaned throughout the day and always smelled fresh, one of the main concerns in turkey is the plumbing of toilets , but throughout the whole complex and all the apartments the plumbing is up to uk standard which I was very pleased with. On our arrival we were greeted by a very friendly man who was one of the porters who helped us with our bags and shown us to our apartment in one the golf buggies the complex has, these are very good as the complex is big but they will run you anywhere you need to go to help you up the hills or just back to your room, the drivers are all very friendly and after a few drinks in one of the many bars you can have a right laugh with them. On arrival to our room we were greeted with fruit, wine cold drinks in the minibar and petals scattered and elaborate displays on our bed which made it that little bit more special so for couples this hotel really accommodates and for any other person as I found out during our stay. There are many different options for meals including several restaurants, ala carte options , BBQ and snack bars which serve around meal times and you can even get ice cream and homemade donuts which is a real treat for children and adults alike : ) . I could literally write 20 pages of this review talking about this holiday because it was so amazing but I'll least off the main points now ... The location is absolutely superb the views of the little islands and mountains you get is out of this world, all the apartments are hillside so the view from your window is just beautiful the apartments themselves are stunning,the avenue arrangement of the apartments works well with flowers and lovely trees and foliage everywhere its so nice. The rooms have lots of space and nicely decorated with tv shower etc and the beds are huge, they get cleaned everyday and don't worry about leaving things around the maids are great they pick things up and fold everything instead of taking like some reviews say we left money and electrical devices out on show and nothing went at all. The hotel it's led is stunning outside and in the main foyer has elaborate mosaics on the domed ceiling along with marbled flooring . The pool areas and beach front is amazing also this hotel is one of few with an actual beach many hotels in turkey don't have an actual sandy beach due to the geographical nature of this country so this is one of the lucky few !!! . The bar staff are great and always happy to help with random cocktails and they remember your drinks after one or two times at the bar, if you like your drink you will love it here the amount of different liqueurs and spirits is unbelievable and there measures blow the UK bars out of the water . Our best experiences we had was spending a night on the jetty which stretches out on to the sea and is covered up and lit with these lantern type lights, after a few drinks we spent a few hours down there and it was amazing proper romantic and such a great way to end our first day : ) . We also loved the pedalows which are completely free of charge and we spent a fair few hours soaking up the sun on the gorgeous Aegean sea floating around the peninsula and all the little islands . Also the hotel is located five minutes away from turgetreis which is a small town with with a market a harbour area with lots of bars and restaurants and supermarkets and most sorts of shops which are reasonably priced, it only cost about £1.50 to travel buy Turkish bus which is a very efficient way of travel the drivers are very friendly and happy to help.

Lastly I need to thank the entire hotel staff for making this holiday for me and my girlfriend extra special and like I said all of the staff were extremely helpful but there were some that went the extra mile but extra special thanks to EMRE , CEYDA and MEHMET

And even more special and who I was calling " good man " every opportunity is JANEL who made every golf buggy journey full of laughs who I became good friends with. His customer service was excellent and last but certainly not least is my good friend FERHAT who is one of the nicest men I have ever met, always greeting you and accommodating your every need.He would do anything to help all you had to do was smile and say hello and he was making sure everything is good for you, he arranged for champagne and chocolate cake and flowers for our room which was amazing , I know he didn't do this for a tip or credit he did this out of the goodness of his heart and just to go that extra mile I hope that when I return he is a manager of some sorts because he truly deserves it, I haven't even mentioned all the great points of this hotel from the gym and sauna area with indoor pool the amphitheatre, water slides it has it all and for the price it was even more amazing 10 out of 10 for me and my girlfriend I hope we return one day because we enjoyed every minute of it.
