Hotel Zum Hirschen

The hotel is located right next to the old city walls of iphofen and only a few minutes away from the city center. Since the whole city center transport calmed is, the noise level was low. Parking is in front of the house (with special park permit from the hotel) and available in the courtyard. We have a family reunion in the hirschen with 15 people and a toddler. We had booked a package with two nights/breakfast, dinner 1 (most gockel), a 4-course menu with corresponding wines, wine tasting and a picnic basket for a ' Heuschnuppern '...

Shortly after arrival the hotelier has gone over the program and evening meal.

The rooms are very spacious and perfectly adequate. Presents two armchairs, table, a large storage space, a large closet, a small tv, bedside lamps, alarm clock, and telephone. A there is no minibar, but in the hallway there was a fridge with alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks (settlement is' faith '). The bathroom is also relatively large and had a shower, toilet, sink. In addition to a small shelf with cosmetic towels, hair dryer and extra toilet paper. Soap (both liquid, and festivals) and shower gel and shampoo were available. In the bathroom was a pleasant smelling room smell. From the room we had great views of the vineyards Iphöfer.

On the first evening there was the most gockel on sauerkraut. A Dream! The meat was tender and juicy wonderful (we didn't know, that can be so juicy Chicken) and just fantastic. The wines were also totally great! To 1 o'clock at night, as the French concern wanted to close the restaurant, they offered us and to put the breakfast room, we had three bottles of great wine on the table and said, and also where we could find... It was a long night... ☺

The breakfast the next morning was excellent. There was bread, rolls, different sorts of sausage and cheese, jam, honey, cream cheese, eggs, yogurt, cereal, tea, milk and coffee (with or without caffeine). As the weather is not good cooperate, we could unfortunately no ' Heuschnuppern ' (picnic in the great outdoors there). Instead, we had the hotelier to, their own refuge in the vineyards with a shape and provide excellent drinks. The walk lasted about 30 to the minutes and we expected a great bars. Also with bread and bread rolls, cheese, sausage, etc. of all plentiful. Water and wine of course there was also enough. The 4-course menu in the evening was very, very good. It was chanterelle-wild on apple Celery Salad Terrine, silvaner foam soup, or pork filet medaillons pike and Schokomousse on pineapple-almond salad. Everything was really excellent! The food was great and the wine were also the food. After food dropped the hosts to our table and chatted with us...

On the second day it all went very quickly. It was a good, delicious breakfast and then we checked out...

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel again and also really every. If you are in the area want, then you should book this hotel!
