Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A Awe had a holiday flat which was well spaced for the two of us. The flat and hotel in general were clean. Even the towels were changed almost daily in our flat, though that's normally not included. Service always friendly and attentive. There weren't many other guests there since it was off-season, allowing us to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere even more.
The hotel is run as a familiy business and even though it's the largest in Mölten (I guess) it doesn't feel like it, everything is personal and friendly.
Location
Hotel is located in the centre of Mölten, with the bus stop only a few metres away (bus conveniently connects the village with the top hiking destinations as well as with Bozen and Merano for shopping/sightseeing). There's a small shop at the hotel where you can get anything you might need - though you don't really need anything because of the excellent restaurant in the hotel.
Possibilities for hiking in spring/summer and skiing or snowshoeing in winter are great, either start directly at the hotel, or take the bus.
Mölten itself doesn't offer much else, there's one other restaurant (Pizzeria, also very good), a Cafe, a pharmacy, and a bank.
Easy to reach by car, about 30 minutes drive from Bozen; about 3 hours from the German border via the Brenner pass.
all our requests were met in a friendly and professional way. Sinc we had a flat, cleaning was not included, but they changed the towels every other day nonetheless. Extra towels are provided when using the sauna/whirlpool.
Gastronomy
there's a restaurant in the hotel which offers high quality local specialties which are freshly prepared and nicely decorated and very tasty! they also offer a selection of vegetarian dishes. They offer fresh, home-baked bread for breakfast and self-made cakes for dessert. Recently an extension was build, and now one can sit in the Wintergarden, enjoying the evening sun and the wonderful mountain landscape while dining.
Sport & Entertainment
there are two whirlpools, a sauna and a steam bath, all are in top condition and in a very relaxing setting. Wireless Internet access is available on request.
Room
we had a holiday flat which could be used by five people, but we were only two. I imagine it would get a bit crowded if there were really four or five people, but if one spends most of the time outside, it doesn't matter. Nice balcony with afternoon/evening sun and a deck chair to enjoy it! and the morning sun shines into the kitchen. Everything was build only last year, so it's brand-new, nice and shiny. only drawback is the bakery's chimney near the window, may smell funny at night if you sleep with the windows open. Kitchen is fully equipped with towels and everything you might need except for food.
