Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAlthough the location of the hotel near the sandy beach from Calais is excellent, so disappointed by the dark room with insufficient lighting and poor heating. When we arrived, our room was quite cool, the small Stromradiator didn't work. A first complains did not bring: We should the radiators and again, whatever it would be solved the problem. This was not the case. After several hours again we had to complain, before us another room has been assigned. The heating worked there, but the effect was not be sufficient. The furnishings of the room were moderate: A ceiling light was missing, the bedlights rich didn't even have to read. The beds were good, but very hard. The old TVs delivered a bad picture ( French and English channels), the bathroom did not seem very inviting ( mold in the joints of the tiles), and the bath is for adults too small. The night in a double room cost ( in winter) 60 euro, a steep price, since the MWST in France only 5.5 percent. The breakfast costs 7.50 per person and was OK. Overall the hotel is overpriced and not recommendable (unless you use the winter special Sunday on Monday night: 39 euro for a double room). We certainly will be our upcoming weekend trips back in the Netherlands.
