Old and shabby hotel with many flaws *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAfter reading the reviews here, my choice of an appropriate city hotels in Florence on the bonciani. But it is still a mystery, how this hotel could get such good reviews. The only good thing about the hotel is the unbeatable location. The hotel is located right in the city center and only a five minute walk from the train station away. You can easily reach all the sights on foot. Now to the hotel: the hotel is very, very old and shabby. It is furnished in a Florentine style built, but has been renovated it still never. In other times it had three stars or even the more-but a star. In the dining room proud depends for example a diploma for excellent food from the year 1971! I think for the was nothing more. The lobby is very impressive and clean, so that the first view is very good. Once check in (the staff only spoke English) and his room was revised this impression immediately. The carpets are old, broken and worn. The furniture seem to be, as if they were falling apart, but if you accidentally. The tv has no German program and is tiny. The safe was not to program. Our blanket (large for two people) consisted of a blanket with a large tear 30 centimeter in about the middle blanket. However, we were lucky only balcony of the entire hotel to get. The view of the lively street was very nice. However, it is in the night very loud, since there many cars and motorcycles. Therefore, bring ear plugs! The curtains were only half on the ceiling and you were always afraid to knock you, if you moved out. But the worst was the bathroom! The bathroom is very old. The toilet-flushing worked properly. If the US had a shower, quantities of water from the ceiling. Water all over the bathroom and the shower was full of mud! After we had complained about this, but nothing has been done. Only after the third time answer said, someone came, the the damage. The hair dryer in the bathroom worked also not. It came someone, the has the room cleaned. Daily new towels and soap and shower gel. But was not thoroughly cleaned very: on the first day we found a wrapped condom our predecessors. I was very disgusting, I picked it on, but I thought, that the cleaning staff would put this already: None! The next day it was still on the spot. The breakfast is adequate, but not very tasty. I have stayed in many hotels and have very low expectations for the price and can overlook minor flaws. This hotel deserves the name and stars. All in all it was a disaster!
