Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel met the expectations for this price range. Not a new and modern hotel, but good overall impression. The price was not a bargain, but compared to other offers in Copenhagen adequate.
Location
The hotel was located close to Tivoli (amusement park) and close to the train and bus station with transportation possibilities to the airport. Arrival was also very easy. The area where the hotel was located was considered as "working-class neighborhood". There were bars and restaurants to go out for night life. In the street where the hotel was located there was also the red light district. But there were no shady characters or street ladies seen. There were just table dance bars and sex stores. In the area there were several "cheap" hotels. All tourist attractions were within walking distance from the mermaid up to the castle. Few shopping possibilities were in this neighborhood, but also nearby there were shopping streets with Gucci to H&M.
The receptionist staff was friendly and spoke English well. On the departure day, we could lock our bags in a luggage storage room. Since we were only there for one night, more information was not possible.
Gastronomy
The breakfast was good quality. There was a coffee machine with good hot drinks. Orange juice was not cheap instant powder. There were crispy bread rolls and fresh bread and a more than sufficient selection of cheese, cold meat, jam and granola. It was not a five-star buffet, but I have definitely eaten worse.

Room
The room had a double bed, flat-screen TV with German channels and normal lounge and classical furniture. Curtains darkened the room completely. Bathroom with shower, toilet, sink were also perfect. Both rooms were clean. Water heater, tea and cups available. Also clean. Room was unlocked with a card.
Tips and recommendations
Copenhagen was expensive for food and drinks in restaurants. For example, we had the delight to eat a ham sandwich in a coffee shop for 15 € each. Look for cheap restaurants. On the weekends a reservation in restaurants was recommended. We could not go in several restaurants, because they were fully booked out. During the day self catering was a good idea. We didn't recommend taxis, because they were expensive. Rather walk or ride a bus. For Copenhagen on foot, plan 2 full days. Whoever wanted to see a lot of museums of course a day more. On Sunday the entrance to the Carlsberg Museum was free.
