First night, room in the basement! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel looks appealing from the outside. When we arrived late at about 11pm, we got a room in the basement that actually shocked us a little. The decoration was quite sober, with no TV, and a slight odor of mildew, narrow grated windows allowed very little air into the room. We got the room apparently because of over-booking (we had no notice of this, we were just advised that we would only have to use it for one night). The proper room was available the next day (at noon), and turned out to be very nice. Just very annoying right at the beginning of a vacation!!
Location
The location is very good. The bus stop is right in front of the door. The nice beach is easily reached by crossing a very busy main road.
Room cleaning was quite good. The towels were always changed.
Gastronomy
There's arranged seating. At the beginning it's quite strange to eat at the same table with total strangers.
Sport & Entertainment
We didn't use the pool, since the beach is much more attractive. The spa facility is certainly very nicely set up with a big Whirlpool tub and sauna. The fitness room seems to be very recently improved with new machines.
Room
The rooms seem to be very recently renovated (however the rooms in the basement are quite run-down). Warm colors and wood laminate.
Tips and recommendations
Overall we felt a bit unhappy and probably wouldn't book this hotel again.
