Leidse Square Hotel Amsterdam

Here the hotel scored absolutely. 5 minute walk to the major museums (Rijks, Van Gogh and Stedelijk Museum), to Vondelpark or to Leidseplein. We were surprised to be somehow, but is still in a quiet and tranquil. Close to some names of famous people in the immediate vicinity which here again or at least one home. Parking as everywhere in the city impossible or priceless (36 euros/day). So in the public car parks are located on the outskirts of town (7 euro/day) and e-mail park & ride to city.

They speak English and took care of the guests' wellbeing. All of the staff we encountered were friendly. The breakfast buffet had no good choice but lacked nothing and the offered things were tasty. The breakfast room at the back of the house is rather simple but convenient - you can see the decor is already aged. We found it but not annoying.

We booked a double and got a room on ground floor on the street side, so right on the walk down-walk. At the same time for both two nights it was totally quiet, without any disturbance from outside. The decoration of the room was easy, nothing was missing and the cleanliness was in order. Air conditioning wasn't available, in the summer heat build-up at will result in the room as the two windows only a short to open.
