Hotel with a few flaws in a good location! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is not very far away from the Leidse Square and is a good base for a city-trip, actually, because there are lots of restaurants, as well as a good transport links to the surrounding area. Breakfast was included in the price. The guests were international - German, Spanish, Dutch, Chinese learn more about this in the following description.
Location
The location, as already described above, very good. The closest tram station is only about 200 meters (direction Central Station) and other tram and bus stops are not more than 400m away. The area was very quiet as the hotel is located in a quiet side street. A variety of restaurants, bars and had a very good Coffe shops on foot within a few minutes. The pedestrian zone with a variety of shopping possibilities were also only a few minutes walk away. Further there was a luxury shopping and the museum district in about 15 minutes walk. To the Central station was about 10 minutes away by tram.
Most of the staff was very friendly and tried to fulfill the guests wishes. But not always to our satisfaction ... The used dishes were very slow at the breakfast buffet. I could not determine the front desk staff German or one other foreign language except Dutch and English. Housekeeping was very neat and tidy. Unfortunately were at the same time a group Spanish our Scout Troop Abschlußfahrt at the hotel. The problem - the. The party in two nights each to min. 12 hours and the walls could be the paper (extremely loud). Each night I called the front desk and complained (by around 11 hours) the him a little do. It was hard to do anything but without success.

We had, as already described in the price, breakfast included. This was unfortunately not highly recommended. There was almost everything you need, but the quality was not high-quality. There was: fruit, jam, butter, with lots of luck a croissant, Matschbrot (hamburger bread), toast, Crispbread, 2 different ham, 2 different cheeses, dead-boiled eggs, extremely sweet cocoa, coffee, milk, tea, Graipfruit & orange juice, water The dining room was very busy and you are required to early to get a seat. Partly was the cutlery nor a bit dirty.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
The rooms were tidy dimensioned. We had no mini bar in the room that didn't bother us at all. I missed a few hangers behind the door (see photos). Our room was to the backyard and was actually very quiet (except the young Spaniards started terror! ). The beds were soft and in the middle somewhat worn down. The room and bathroom were very clean. Unfortunately the builders outside our room carpet updated so it quite strange gluey smell in the room did smell. Safe was available and functional. TV with ARD and ZDF and other international channels is available (we needed with the bad weather unfortunately often) in the bathroom there except for the lack of toilet brush and the poorly sound-proofed walls nothing to complain about.
Tips and recommendations
Again in summary: + good location (public transport links and restaurants) + price + nice staff - extremely clairaudient - breakfast not the art - party Spanish as neighbors! (We should have been given a better room) - toilet brush, clothes hangers and mini bar was missing in the room - Luggage is merely a open bar in the entrance area in which each entering the water it's possible when he wants ! Not very safe! Tip: - BOLS museum - 10 € entrance - 1 very good cocktail and several different liqueurs and liquor included: ) - train ride to Haarlem or Rotterdam - visit of the Holland Casino (no Anzugspflicht, 18 +) airport access costs 4.30 € to Amsterdam Central Station day ticket public transport costs 7.00 € If you have questions about the hotel have to write a message
