Nice hotel in a good location to town and museums *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located 2-3 minutes to walk from the Leidse Square, in by many restaurants and bars. In addition starts out one of the main shopping streets. The "Tulpenmarkt" and the main shopping street about a 10 minute walk. Museums are after 5-10 mins walk away, there are also two boat launch Canal cruises nearby. On the Leidse Square many trams in all directions. But since one in Amsterdam everything within walking distance, we didn't make use of this. The hotel itself is located in a very quiet area, but the windows are not very well soundproofed. You can hear the people passing by, the below, even late at night. From the "other tourists" but we almost unnoticeable. The rooms are of the furniture was a bit dated and are gray/texture. The room is carpeted. In addition, there is a kettle with selection of teas and a TV with German programs available. The bed was soft, but comfortable. The bathroom is decorated in white/elfenbeinfarbend and was clean. It has no windows and light isn't up to much really bright. The breakfast was ok, but only ok. There were 2 kinds of cold cuts, one kind of cheese, different sweet spreads, canned fruit, cereals, quark, milk, coffee, orange juice, a juice, hot water with a variety of teas. The bread was -typical in the Netherlands totally soft and the rolls rock. Also the breakfast buffet not so regularly refilled as well as the tables were clean. All in all the hotel was for the price, location and a quick trip great. We had much worse hotels for the price.
