A relaxed and stylish stay in the Berner Oberland
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis was the 5th year in succession that we have stayed for a week at this hotel in early October. We were upgraded to an immensely comfortable suite on the 5th floor with a most appealing view along the River Aare. Reception was at all times first rate, and we received a warm welcome, with the provision of a complementary plate of fruits, tea, and a pre-dinner drink. We rate the hotel very highly for comfort and character. Breakfast was, as always, impressive, with a wide choice of fare. The restaurant tried hard but was less successful in terms of both cuisine and service than in previous years when standards were top notch.
