Great experience
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AOld world style. you felt like you drifted back in time. Everything was very modern but it had that "grand hotel" appearance.
Location
Close to trian station. Not the central part of town which is about 10 minutes walk away. Howver, the town is about shopping and it's in the hotel vicinity but just not as "thick" as downtown.
Very friendly service-Knowledgeable too! We had a couple of minor issues taken care of immediately.
Gastronomy
Everthing was superior about the service with one glaring exception. They run a "happy hour"-half price on drinks in late afternoon. Twice (on different days) the sole bartender simply disappeared for 15 minutes or so(?) during this busy period.
Sport & Entertainment
pool was very nice-indoors. Spa was outstanding (and free!) including suana, steam room and pool showers.
Room
We got a suite which was lovely. The terrace was huge holding three chaise lounges, a table set for four and numerous plants.
Tips and recommendations
Here's a tip-if you're coming to hike, do as we did. Put aside two or three days after hiking and stay at this hotel just to veg out and enjoy the place without running around.
