Wonderful Stay *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe spent a week in a suite as we wanted to make it a special stay. The traffic connections to the city center are good (only five minutes walk to the metro station), the zoo is directly next to the hotel.
As far as the food is concerned, I can only make comments on certain areas. So we never ate at the restaurant in the evening (only a small snack). The breakfast buffet was varied, even though I have experienced a better selection from other four-star hotels. In the dining area, you need to get used to waiting a little longer, but then you get (essentially) friendly staff.
The service at the front desk was very good, but there were little nags prior to our arrival, which were ironed our on both sides when we arrived. We couldn't find any problems with the cleanliness, but the technology should be checked from time to time so the all of the devices in the rooms are in good functioning condition. A manual for such items would be helpful in some respects (how does one exactly use the sauna?).
The room was really great. A really good price for comfort which makes you forget that you are actually in a hotel. Coming in and feeling good, that's how I would describe our vacation. I can recommend this hotel to all travelers that want to see Hamburg for a quite reasonable cost.
