Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were this year for the second time in this area (four Spanish hotelsterne) traveled. My opinion and assessment corresponds essentially to the design of June 2008 (see link at the bottom): a spacious, large, very well-kept area, in which the crowd is, combined with fantastic because serviceorientiertem and always friendly, courteous and fast staff. For a few small differences, I would like to point out here:
This time, we had to travel in the high season, so that the guests a bit different (especially families with school age children), but by no means less was international (largest groups, of course, purely subjective: German, Dutch, English, Spanish, Poland). The proportion of regular guests seems to be high as last year.
-The pool is still huge, but suffers damage not only on the floor, but also with the cleanliness, which my believe, directly associated with the utilization of the hotel should be.
-The improper monster of hair dryer, in the bathroom was fixed, we could also welcome this year, but during our stay, he was replaced by something very reasonable. The own hair dryer future stay at home.
-With the meals in the restaurant we were less satisfied this year than last year: the meat was often too dry, vegetables ranged from soft to hard to chew, potatoes there was also half done, Noodles were therefor would like to go to for a long time in the water and the grill on the terrace was abolished. With oil mean the kitchen not. The quality of the (aufpreispflichtigen) à-la-carte restaurants I can't say anything about it, because we didn't use them.
-The last year still well stocked parking (convenient for a rental car, since it was outside of the hotel only limited parking spaces are) this year was much less crowded. Reason: The Hotel requires an unusual pricing now parking: 0.50 euros for the first minute, after euro per 0.03 another minute, the Tageshöchstsatz is on twelve euro (?) capped.
-Because of construction work at the bus stop in meloneras, the public transport stops at the moment its right in front of the hotel. For families with children should be the very convenient, above all, because it involved no restrictions.
The spa area is not to be missed. This year, we have a massage use, but since everything was simply great: skills of the staff and atmosphere led us directly on cloud nine-and we were one hour later still. We stayed for a two-by-two massage (Swedish massage, two masseurs treat two people in a room) 110 euros.
All in all I can recommend the Gran Hotel lopesan Costa meloneras remains fully recommended.
