Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AVery large area, very neat, clean. There were still zones, play zones for children and adults.
Attention was made to keep the rules (still zone etc. ). The tourists came from different nations, mostly German, Swiss, Spanish. We didn't have any drinking tourists, they were mostly at Playa del Ingles. Breakfast and supper in buffet style. Everything was very mannerly.
There were sufficient beach chairs in the area.
5 minute check -in and -out fully without problems.
Location
The location was excellent for us. Not in the midst of hustle, but a short path to the stores on the beach promenade and across. The dunes began directly behind the lighthouse and were reachable in 3 minutes walk. The beach was flat and clean there. We had somewhat high waves, which wasn't for small children. Whoever didn't have a transfer included it cost 45 Eur for a taxi. The hotel offered also a transfer for 24 Eur per person. It was too expensive. The public (air conditioned) bus 66 drove hourly from the hotel door for 6 Eur in ca. 70 minutes to the airport.
Altogether the service was good. A defective lamp was exchanged in an hour. The room cleaning asked which time period we preferred and did it then. No complaints!
Gastronomy
Both of the buffet restaurants were according to the hotel naturally 'train station size'. The atmosphere in the outdoor area was so much more beautiful. The tables were after the US principle 'wait to be seated'. It worked usually very fast. The waiters tried, sometimes with a crowd they were swamped, but always friendly. Every tourist received fresh table linen. The offer was with variety and fresh. Shortly fried meat and fish were prepared daily at the counter. Everyone found something. For the taste we gave a few drawbacks, as it was like a cafeteria. Once weekly one could eat a four course menu with reservations in a restaurant with service. The rush was large. We passed since the menu didn't match our tastes.
Sport & Entertainment
There were four excellent pools. The activities were offered during the day in different varieties. The internet access cost extra. We had received this offer at other international hotels mostly for free.
Room
The rooms were large, clean and were daily thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom had a tub and shower. We liked hard mattresses. Here they were available and we could sleep well. The furniture was older but in order. The hotel of this size usually offered hotel slippers for use. It wasn't so here. That's why a tourist upstairs walked over the floor tiles in high heels. That was sadly a bit loud. The fee for the room safe was too much! Therefore the drawback for the room.
Tips and recommendations
Whoever booked for half board and was still hungry at lunch, should use the numerous restaurants at the beach promenade. There the prices were cheaper and the offer was better than at the bars in the hotel.
