Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, Spa & Casino

The location was excellent, the very beautiful beach Masplomas had a very great dune countryside was a few minutes away.
The very beautiful promenade with its numerous stores made the plus points.
The distance to the airport with ca. 30 minutes wasn't too far, Playa del Ingles for the evening activities was quickly reached with bus and taxi.
The Maspalomas /Meloneras was directly on the freeway, and there were many excursion destinations (Las Palmas, mountains, reservoirs etc.) reached quickly and uncomplicatedly.

The room cleaning was fully in order.
Service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired, one waited for drinks and for table clearup in vain.
Languages: Spanish, English, German - in order.
Friendliness at the reception and partly in the restaurant were inacceptable

The hotel had two buffet restaurants, several ala carte restaurants and several bars.

They had the nerve offering that food at a four star restaurant!!!!!!
Not at all variety in the buffet restaurant area, every evening the same.
The fish filet were full of bones, meat was totally overcooked or raw.
The ravioli from a can, freshness left to be desired.
No sauces except for ketchup and mustard.
Fermented fruit (pineapple and melon).

Mornings there were used coffee pots with a cup content from the neighboring table. Absolutely no variety there (same cheese everyday).

Ala carte was better, however it had to be reserved (no tables).

Service partly highly unmotivated.

Bars so far in order.

Better eating out!!

Entertainment possibilities, enough free time activities for young and old (miniclub and several games, good activity team)
Evening entertainment available (mini disco and two theme evenings outdoors and after 11pm in the grill bar), however no variety, program every week the same.
Several stores in the hotel, small supermarket - in order.
Many beach chairs at the pools, as well as on the lawn, also in the gravel, as well as on the sun patio directly in front of the ocean - always found passable spots around.
Several pools for every taste something, even with a pool bar, also for swimming in the main pool (Piscina Lago) with 110 m length.
Sadly poorly cleaned and signs of use through many missing tiles.
But on the whole fully in order.

The room size was in order, large bedroom, lots of storage space, large balcony, if booked, bathroom with shower and bathtub, TV, telephone, air conditioner, safe (for more or less 2Eur daily), Minibar etc. double bed meant here pushed apart single beds which moved with every move - in my opinion no double bed but annoying, but enough covers and pillows on hand.

The condition was older, see beds, and needed soundproof, and annoying lamps on the balcony turned off automatically at 11pm, sleeping with open windows/curtains wasn't possible at that time.

We were disappointed with the hotel, the price performance ratio wasn't right. In my opinion there were both main features of a hotel in general, namely food and sleeping weren't met(food absolutely bad, sleeping in a single bed with annoying light). We expected from a 4 star hotel, that one didn't eat packaged products and we had to live form Maggi ravioli from a can on almost everyday in our 14 day holiday and could expect in addition a bit more variety (typical country dishes had none).
The outdoor area and the good location at the beach gave a few plus points here.
Plan travel time for September/October, 15-35° sun to be expected.
