Once again two weeks at the Majestic *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis was our second stay at the Majestic and for the fourth time at the Sunny Beach. A lot has already been written about the hotel but I would like to mention something here, which was noticeable to us. The location of the hotel, the food, the cleanliness, for Bulgarian standards make it a great hotel. I think this is true after all, for almost everything. We stayed for two weeks this year. It is certainly one of the best hotels in Sunny Beach.
We left a bit annoyed though, we asked to be picked up 6.20 a.m and the night before, the front desk manager told us that breakfast not available between 10 p.m and 6 a.m. in front of the restaurant for breakfast and from 22 to the six o' clock. From our experience from other hotels and countries, this never happened to us before. In other hotels we could at least eat some small things (and we're speaking of a five star category here). From other hotel guests (because we sat on the same pick up bus) we saw that they had received small breakfast packages. For this matter, the hotel should think of something for the next season. As they say, it starts with the dinner and ends with the breakfast if you chose half board. By the pool there are wonderful thick cushions on the beach chairs, which, however, should have been there last season. From the humidity (if you lay down wet) the chairs had become very moist.
The bathroom is nice, but we would have liked a handle in the bathtub, because I somewhat slipped by wanting to step out of the shower-bathtub, so it's not meant for handicapped older people. This would certainly be easy to fix. Information to Renald, (he has made a negative assessment), which unfortunately, I can't contact him directly, you can if you want to, book a permanent table so every evening you can eat at that specific table. Is an offer of the hotel. We enjoyed the time spent with other people by not only having a fixed place to sit.
Conclusion: we liked it very much in the Majestic and we will certainly return. Here the price and performance ratio is good. Best travel time would be from August to middle September. It was noticeably cooler in the evening and the winds stronger. September is the final month of the season, this year the hotel closes 5 October 2011.
