The Mara Timbo was a luxurious tent camp under German management. It only had 7 tents which gave a very private atmosphere.

The camp was located due to the poor roads about 40 minutes away from the entrance of the Masai Mara (about 10km).
But it was right by the Mara river in the immediate vicinity of two hippo families nestled in the woods. The camp was not fenced and open for all animals.

Here I could only say personal butler service. Really they were attentive to the needs.

We lived in the family tent with 45sqm, you had a marvelous bathtub directly on the veranda. The tents were clean, had large beds, two sinks, showers, safes etc.
