Very well-kept hotel under German management *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe time hotel mair alexandria has 150 rooms jolly. The hotel and the rooms are in very good condition. Everything is new and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable equipped. The beds are of good quality. The bathroom bright and with everything. Soap and shower products were daily filled upSince this is a German Hotel chain, were in addition to arabic, English also many German Channels turned on. On arrival we found cake in the room. On the other hand was missing a kettle for coffee or tea making facilities. A kettl service for the price of about €four is offered.
The breakfast was good and varied. The food in the opened Restaurant was tasty. There is a small dishes as well as a la carte fish and meat dishes. The prices for food, wine and beer are set properly. Annoying was only, that the waiter the placemat not periodically. As the tourism after the revolution and the revolution of mubarak collapsed, the hotel was relatively empty, allowing the other restaurants including the buffet were not open.
The swimming pool was under construction, it was also in April much too cold and was therefore not used.
Internet is offered by a provider to €20 per day. The best you can buy a usb pen with vodafone or Etisalat (price about €20, including two giga) more than sufficient for a 14-day egypt stay.
A compliment to the hotel director mr klaus volt was always to be found and he looked, that was everything in the best order. The colored the staff from, the attentive and made an effort to provide a good service.
In egypt, the cleanliness and the service in five stars The hotel was rather often to be desired. I was surprised at the quality and cleanliness of the hotel and the maritime jolly hotel can recommend without exception.
