Very nice stay in Dieter *

You are not in a hotel, but the cleanliness of the restaurant was found to be an absolute plus, which really is an important issue that the stay so as you want it to be.
So with local knowledge or entertainment trip places recommended or a scooter to rent organized. Booking an excursion at the Tour operator is unnecessary.
It wasn't located directly on the beach, but one has its peace and in the morning and in the evening you can relax, there is a lively Malia party place.
For little money one could rent a scooter at the best and the various beaches in the area as they are very different to try. Sand/gravel/rock or in a bay or open.
