Merchants House Hotel

The hotel is right in the old town of Tallinn, a stone's throw from the Town Hall Square. There are all tourist sights and restaurants within walking distance. As good as it gets!

The front desk staff was more than friendly and tried very hard. Every request was done quickly. The room was cleaned every day and change of towels, also there was nothing to complain about. The hotel offers many additional services such as complimentary coffee and tea-utensils in the room, room service, laundry service etc. (surcharge). There is also a spa area with sauna, which we didn't use though. Free internet at the front desk. On request we arranged for a taxi to the airport.

We stayed at the restaurant is only breakfast. It was in the form of a buffet with 1 sort of sausage, salmon, local dishes paired fish and different types of cheese. Also hot items such as scrambled eggs, fried sausage, bacon and beans and mushrooms. 2 sorts of jam, cereal, yogurt, juices, 2 sorts of bread and toast. Hot drinks were individually to the table. The service could be here a bit better. The breakfast was adequate, but we did have a wider choice of food.

We had a very large, spacious rooms. As well as a large bathroom with bathtub. The rooms are decorated in contemporary style and have flat-screen TV, minibar and a free safe. In the bathroom range of complimentary shower gel and shampoo as well as a hair dryer. The first room offered was a room with a shower (large rainfall shower). On request we could but without problems change in a room with a bath. Also here to say the friendly service at the front desk! We had a room facing the courtyard, which was very quiet.

All in all, we were with the hotel and especially the general service and friendliness very pleased. We had a lovely stay. Tallinn is a city with a lovely old town. To book city tours and sightseeing definitely worth it the Tallinn-card.
