Beautiful, new hotel, with a large Aquabereich *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is part of the Meriton Grand Hotel Tallinn and just opened in May 2009 opened. Very modern spacious rooms. Overall approximately 300.
Location
Ca. 10 minute walk to the old town. Across from bus stop.
Very friendly staff English speaking (no German). Help with all trips or schedules. We even a hotel employee nachgelaufen, because he could see that we walked into the wrong direction. Housekeeping ok, except on the Sunday. As it was a bit sloppy. Annoying was the telephone between the rooms didn't work and my room card every day from 12 hours reprogram.
Gastronomy
Breakfast was very good for Estonia. Coffee from the machine, but french pressed. No variation, but generally delicious. They have a Asian Wok-restaurant. Buffet around 17 euros. Was really delicious, but only the finished dishes at the buffet. The wok-chef with show cooking was rather miserable, so is also really good "style cooking". There was also a tapas bar (didn't try) and a very nice cafe with delicious cakes.
Sport & Entertainment
The water was warmer there! Great with jacuzzi, large swimming pool and sauna. To 11 :30AM for hotel guests free. Lots of spa treatments.
Room
We had booked a double room for single use. Very spacious and modern. The bathroom with bathtub was also large and clean. Flat screen TV with at least 10 international channels. Minibar with reasonable prices. Water kettle, tea bags and Nescafe available. Cleanliness was ok.
