Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AA welcomed return having stopped here previously in 2004, rooms have had a revamp and very clean and wonderfully comfortable beds. half board as we were diving during the day, excellent choice of food, a different theme night each day, buffet style and first class. Drinks like all hotels more expensive, local shops across the road from the hotel, taxis just outside, a lovely relaxing hotel, pool very clean. the only down side was the mosquittos but the hotel did everything they could to reduce this. will be visiting again. esp as dive centre on site.
Location
airport 10 mins away but no noise from air craft. shops across the road and a ten minute walk to a local supermarket which was alot cheaper. Dive centre "divers lodge" on site eygptian run took us to excellent dive sites. also as one of us was a non diver was able to snorkel and was well looked after. a quite hotel away from the bustle of all the shops but it is in walking distance , and there are many taxis tooting at you.
staff friendly and polite, room service excellent and room kept clean, added touches of towel design. A different animal or heart each day. the maintenance helping get rid of mosquittos were very good, they even gave us their number toring them personally, the frige in the room didnt work, that was changed within the hour. suberb service.
Gastronomy
excellent a quite "captains bar for the eveing" was not possible to sit out side as resident mosquittos. every where very clean, if you didn't want to eat in restaurant you can sample the italian or fish restaurant.
Sport & Entertainment
own private beach at hotel and local dive centre on board, also water sports available on site
Room
wonderfully comfortable beds. very clean. tea and coffee making facillities in the room, also own mini safe.
Tips and recommendations
mosquitto repellent rq ( this is our 12th time of visiting egypt) first time there have been such a problem wasn't just the hotel but the whole area, even the local have noticed a problem, don't let it put you off hotel.
