Parkhotel Beau Site

Perfectly located just a short walk to the bus stop by the bridge, this green line bus takes you to the Klein Matterhorn lift station, or you can get the opposite green line bus to the Sunnegga Bahn station.

Alternatively you can walk to the Gornergrat train station or to the Sunnegga in only a few minutes.

Carry on walking up either of the paths by the bus stop and you are in the village centre in just a few minutes, where there are all the shops you can wish for. Ski shops, clothing, bakeries, chocolatiers, jewelers, gift shops and then the bars, restaurants and Banks not to mention supermarkets.

Form being collected by Emilio at the station - greeted with a big smile and handshake, you are taken in the electric taxi to the hotel, where they get your baggage to your room whilst you check in.

Katja, Tania or the other staff at reception check you in, show you to your superb rooms, give you your lift pass, ski hire voucher and make sure you have everything you require.

They have a fantastic command of languages and this always impresses me. Not just the staff at reception but all the staff.

There are additional services if you require them, laundry, room service etc.

The quality of the food at the Beau Site is legendary !

The breakfasts are quite simply the best way to start your skiing day, fresh breads, croissants, cakes, cereals, mueslis, fresh fruits, cheeses, cold meats, champagne, fruit juices, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, bacon, sausages, ham, coffee, teas - the list goes on.

The evening meal is another five course gastronomic feast but of the highest quality. So carefully prepared and very much prepared with getting the best flavors possible.

They have two special evenings, the Gala night and the grill night. Gala night has the largest selection of desserts you could ever imagine and the grill night.

The grill night in Beau Site is well known all over Zermatt. It is a legendary offering of fish and meats.

All this in the best presented restaurants which are immaculate.

I have written about the wellness area before and it still impresses. More guests use this facility now than ever before which is great to see.

Like the rest of the hotel, it is immaculately clean and not a speck of dirt to be seen anywhere.

The large jacuzzis are the best place to be at the end of a hard days skiing.

My room was a superior double in the new chalet. Bright, clean and elegant.

Matterhorn view and balcony. It has the usual fridge, and the new coffee machines which are a feature in the chalet.

Large bathroom which was just what you want.

Large roof timbers for the high ceiling made the room even more special.
