Zermatt at it's best !
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel has made more improvements - now it has rebuilt the kitchens and installed new food counters in the breakfast dinning room, complete with a new counter where you can have your eggs cooked to order - fried, scrambled or omelette with a choice of your selected fillings.
Afternoon tea now with a selection of fruit juices as well together with a selection of home made cakes.
The guests are from all over Europe and the States as well as from Japan and Russia.
Location
The hotel is very close to the bus stop and most convenient for a short walk into town. This is especially useful if you have to go to the shops for any new skiing clothes or other items.
The ski shops in Zermatt are very well equipped and stocked with the latest items and what is especially useful is the excellent advice they offer.
Ski hire form Tipee Sport kiosk is still as good as ever and now European Snowsport ski school operate for the same venue by the Sunnegga station.
The staff are very friendly and continue to impress with their command of languages, detailed knowledge of the entire resort and facilities.
The attention to detail from the cleanliness of the rooms and the whole hotel to the printed menus is impressive.
Additional services such as laundry is available as well as room service. Any problems you might encounter and the staff will do their utmost to accommodate and sort out any problems, should you encounter them.

What can I say other than the food continues to impress - so much so that i invited some guests to the grill evening. Two of the guests are form Austria and the third a Master Chef form Italy, who has owned his own restaurants and worked for the Roux Brothers in London.
We were all in agreement, that the food is excellent !
The menu is varied and there are subtle changes each year keeping it fresh and very interesting. Always full of flavour.
The restaurants are always spotless - just like the kitchens.
The atmosphere is relaxed and calm.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool area is very good and nearly always full at the end of the skiing day.
There is a new beauty treatment area and this has just opened this December. I am sure someone will review it very soon.
Only a short walk to the bus stop to get to the ski lifts and then only a short walk back at the end of the day - perfect !
Room
The room i had was a large suite with an equally large bathroom with a shower and bath.
There was also a balcony with views of the Matterhorn and in the new chalet annex the area by the balcony is fully glazed so you have great views over the whole of Zermatt too.
There is a mini bar and a coffee machine which grinds the beans too but i have to admit that i do not use these as the bar in the hotel is sufficient for my purposes.
Additionally there is a huge tv with speakers everywhere including the bathroom so if you want you can listen to your favourite program even whilst in the bath !
Plenty of sofas and chairs.
Again, immaculately clean.
Tips and recommendations
The hotel offers wifi for the duration of your stay, which is most useful.
The Beau Site is great value for money and their other offers such as their ski weeks are very convenient.
The perfect hotel for a skiing holiday.
