Parkhotel

The Parkhotel has its-not exactly inviting-silhouette (structurally a 'block' from the 1960s) the peninsula of pörtschach. The outer impression is deceptive enjoyable way: the hotel offers everything you need for a pleasant stay on Lake Wörth. The location is ideal for exploring the lake with its highlights Jutta, Velden, Klagenfurt, and so on by boat, a boat station is a few minutes walk away. From the train station, the hotel is also within a few minutes walk reachable. By car the natural and cultural centre of Carinthia, easy to reach, Slovenia (for example, bled) and Italy (for example Tarvis) are close to objectives. My room (top) in the seventh floor was obviously been recently renovated. It was very spacious, functional equipped (except the bedside lamp not practical) and offered a fantastic from its balcony overlooking the lake and over to Jutta. (To the balcony there is a sliding door, the first for me not recognizable as such, and secondly, reasonably hard to open and close.) the air conditioning is individually and enjoyable way also switched off, there is a safe, we were greeted with a bottle of mineral water (0.75 litre), and a, but a bit sparse equipped (two FL. Fruit juice, a FL. Mineral water, a FL. Beer) mini bar, but with the note 'for more choice, you call on the phone...'. Especially in the night you have again and again noise from the highway but and, above all, the excellent-not very annoying, but ring but interfering with sleep. At the bathroom a 'modern designer has' : against the rest of the room separated by a glass wall, so you-except every time you leave the blinds down-the full transparency and thus has no privacy. To boot-for a four stars hotel in a recently converted the room was rather unusual-the toilet not a separate room, but in the bathroom. The decor is very good: big bathtub, separate shower, double vanities, bathrobes and so on are also available. A special service, the hotel offers, it is way out in a huge and very well-kept park, at the hotel's own beach (the only through a separated footpath from the property). There are chairs and parasol for each room reserved (that means it is not as many for example Italian hotels get up at night time, around a couch to 'reserve' and therefor have to pay a lot of money), there were towels, showers and toilets, as well as a small restaurant-a great and free to boot (except of course meals and beverages) service with a friendly beach advisor. ... and swimming in the warm sea 24 was just lovely! The Wellness-and beauty department (with sauna, steam bath, indoor swimming pool, and so on) I was able to use because of the limited time and the weather-not. The breakfast was good and plentiful, the food in the restaurant (with a nice terrace) was very good, the wine list was very well stocked. However, the service staff was partly a bit clumsy. Some other points: the seminar was not very comfortable, but technically well equipped and therefore okay, the front desk with very friendly and courteous ladies occupied, in the hotel bar evenings live dance music, a fellow member has raved, that nearby-there are many excellent golf courses. In summary, the Parkhotel pörtschach, in my opinion, very good conditions-although not the worst perils prices-for a pleasant stay on Lake Wörth.
