Best value for food and relaxing
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AIt is an excellent place to stay with very friendly hosts, absolute perfect food for gourmets at dinner time (Angelika deserves a Michelin star!) and gorgeous view from the balkonies towards the Dolomites accross Vilnöss valley. We visit this place with joy every year for its good value, love to hike the not to steep trails and stop bye at the little restaurants (Almen) for wine and cheese, "speck" = bacon, local bread and cakes. The cities Bozen, Brixen, Klausen and Meran are close for easy and lovely shopping having special markets. You should have your car though to get there and make fantastic scenic trips. We favour October when the Chetsnuts (Maroni or "Keschten") are harvested and served in differnt kinds from cooked to jam, cake and liquor.
