Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AOn our most recent visit home, my parents took us to Pennhof for a few days of family vacation. My parents have been going there for more than two years and love it every single time. Now, I know why. The place is really magical. Situated in the mountains with a view straight out of a movie. Our was beautiful with a very comfortable bed ( I slept like a baby ) and a nice bathroom and balcony. We faced the mountains and the view from our room and balcony was just breathtaking. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. We were greeted with a little chocolate heart on the pillow which was just the beginning of how welcome we felt. The owners go through great trouble to make sure that every single guest felt welcome.
Location
Great place to spend a few days relaxing and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Lots of activities around to keep you busy if you want to be kept busy. Strolling in the many lovely town nearby, hiking in the beautiful dolomites or going on a boat ride on the nearby lake.

The service during breakfast and dinner was impeccable and made us feel so special. Anything you need, if possible at all, the staff will make it happen.
Gastronomy
Now, the real highlight. The food! I am a foodie and love to eat. The four course dinners we were served very single night were amazing. Health combinations, food grown in their own garden and prepared and presented like in a four star restaurant. I don't think there was a single dish that I didn't like. It was just delicious.
Sport & Entertainment
They have a pool in the backyard that overlooks the mountains and is a nice little place to spend the afternoon. There are also plenty of activities that you can do around Pennhof. Hiking on the Dolomites, going for a stroll in the nearby towns or a boat ride on the closely lake ( Kalterer See ) ... plenty of options :-)
