Portomagno Hotel

The hotel is in a great location - directly on a beautiful beach and only divided from this by a single-lane road (very little traffic). The hotel is in Aguadulce. There was a small supermarket there, as well as a few bars and restaurants. But it wasn't an overrun tourist town by any means. For this reason the town was perfect for everyone looking for a little peace and quiet!
There were lots of excursions and trips as well as varied markets right around the corner. From time to time the famous bull fights take place nearby. In addition, there is a water park 'Mariopark' not far away. This is ideal for kids!
Not to forget the towns you can visit (Almeria, Alicante...), which were very beautiful.

The hotel staff were always friendly, though they foreign language skills were somewhat limited. With a bit of English you get by fine though.
The rooms were cleaned thoroughly each day. The towels were also changed daily.
There was a doctor in the hotel, as well as daycare. We didn't use these services though.

On our first day, the fridge didn't work in our room. When we let reception know about this, it was repaired straight away.

The restaurant was very large and really comfortable. The buffet was varied and elaborate. Every day there was something a little different at the buffet. There was something there for everyone. We booked half board and were always happen with the catering. There were lots of Spanish dishes, but there were also lots of tasty things for the Germans.
The staff were very attentive - you were always served quickly.

The four pools were great! The pools were cleaned regularly. There were also plenty of loungers.
The sand and pebble beach was also fantastic. The strand wasn't overcrowded, since like we mentioned above there weren't too many tourists around. Other than this, the beach was very well maintained and the water was very clean.
In the hotel there was no entertainment. In any case, this meant the evenings were all alike and a bit boring.

The rooms were in a very good condition. There was a TV with a few German channels. The bathroom was very clean. Naturally there was also air conditioning.
Every balcony had a sea view. We had a view of the sea too, which was really great.
