Great hotel-with starting difficulties *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe start of our vacation unfortunately not so good-when we arrived in the late evening in the hotel we learned, that our room was fully booked and we are in favor of a night in another hotel was accommodated. This was with a toddler not a good start. The hotel has us however therefor the next day instead of the double room we booked an apartment provided, for the inconvenience which a night well compensated.
The whole area was very beautifully green and well maintained, the apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped, fairly quiet on the 'baby pool' location. The only thing, which I would have to criticize, was changing water temperature at the Showers-it jumped from quite cold and very hot back and forth-i assume, to rush the boiler was simply overwhelmed. End/beginning of August September it was not very busy, very pleasant.
The guests were mainly spanish, a few british and germans were staying there again. Age mix across all classes, many young stylish couples.
Location
Ciutadella was good reachable, we had a rental car and in ten minutes you are there. Without rental car the location of the hotel is however very secluded; if you other beaches/corners of the island to see would like, I would families an in any case rental car highly recommend.
The staff was always very friendly, especially to our kids. It is an advantage, a little spanish; with English or German you didn't get very far. The room was always clean and tidy cleaned, everything was okay.
Unfortunately, we had to doctor, this was given by the front desk and came into the room. As a small token of the hotel we got a fruit basket and water the room brought.
Gastronomy
The food in buffet form was wonderful, varied on the right side of average. Rather spanish aligned, which we like. Only negatives: the freshly fried meat or pieces of fish were sometimes a bit too dry. And the ice cream tasted unfortunately everywhere in spain-not very tasty; even our two-year-old has spurned ☺.
The terrace view of the sea we enjoyed very good, here you have to wait sometimes for free. Furthermore, the tables in the dining room are fine.
Sport & Entertainment
Pool was nice and clean, in contrast to the sea but quite cool. We hardly used.
The two small bays la caleta and cala sant andria are well within walking distance reachable -even with a toddler, in my opinion not a problem at all, it is only a couple of steps or small slopes. With a buggy, however, quite difficult. La caleta special was the perfect baby's plans, very gently sloping, offering a clear view and at the end of August bathtub warm.
Room
The apartment was clean and in good shape, the kitchen with all equipped, you need, kettle, microwave, etc. the balcony went to sleep and living room along, so it was nice and big. Safe had to be rented extra.
