Dream holiday on 1600 meters *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThree very beautiful apartments behind a wonderful set, where you could nicely relax. Cleanliness, cosiness and cordialness were the three distinctive characteristics of the hotel Steinmair, you got there and you felt well. For breakfast they served fresh milk from the cows on their farm if you wanted to and eggs from happy chicken, whose rooster crowed also for the late birds, from 7:00 am Ms Steinmair brought fresh rolls and all of that in a nice small basket, so the day began with a first treat.
Location
This marvelous mountain landscape with its beautiful farms was located at the head of the valley of Gsies. It was just ideal to hike and relax.
The hiking paths were marked well and the great thing was, there was something for every degree of difficulty. You could do lots of excursions to the near area (e.g. Toblach, Merano or Bolzano).
As already mentioned above, the hosts were very friendly and attentive, the apartments were very clean and the breakfast very delicious. There was a washing machine for dirty hiking clothes in the ski basement.
Gastronomy
Gastronomically, we were we self-sufficient and that was very good of course with the products you got there.
Sport & Entertainment
Just ideal for walking, guided walks were also offered by the tourism association. There was also a very beautiful tanning lawn with grill possibilities and a playground by the building. Also heated walking shoes which thanks to the (ski shoe rack) you could put on every day in the ski room, very pleasant!
Room
The apartments were very large and furnished in a modern country house style and you found everything the heart desired, it was just wonderful, you don't have to say more about this.
Tips and recommendations
We spent on the Kaseralm so many comfortable afternoons and we could only recommend the food and drinks offered there (especially the internal hotel schnaps).
