Small Luxury Hotel Das Tyrol

One block from the fine arts museum on a wonderful shopping street, two blocks outside the main ring. One block from the U. Very safe and busy area with lots of small shops, places to eat, and major stores. Just 3 blocks above a wonderful food market which also has a flea market on Fridays and Saturdays.

This small hotel's staff treated us very well. All spoke English perfectly. The front desk arranged our departure Taxi, basement spa appointments, and answered our directions questions with pleasure. The room cleaning staff lady was professional and friendly.

We had breakfast here every day, a self service buffet. Every kind of morning drink and juice was abundant. Breakfast meats, fruits, the usual European yogurt and Musili selections, and breads were continually fully stocked. Eggs as you like them were cooked on request. Much better breakfast selection and quality than in the other small hotels we've stayed in.

Our travelling friends used the included steam bath and sauna in the basement, and were well pleased. We didn't have time to do so.

Average size room with adjoining twin beds making it like a king with comforter. We asked for and got a featherless set as my wife is allergic to feathers. Nice desk with chair and a second chair. Cable like TV, in German with 2 English channels. Stocked mini bar with price menu right on top. Telephone and easy to use safe and adequate closet space. Bathroom spotless with hair dryer, and towel warmer that worked well.

This hotel is value priced for the quality of room, quantity of included breakfast, helpful staff and perfect location. Not the cheapest nor most expensive, but as good as possible for the reasonable price. We loved it and will return again for sure.
