Good hotel in the Bauarchitektur villaverde,we stayed in the charm of the last century, the standard on time. The hotel you can still charm smile, if you to historic property. Additionally, there from Jan-March 2011 renovation. The rooms have it necessary. Beautiful ballroom and the entrance area lobby is very historic old charm (3 fireplaces loderten the whole day)

Very central about 10 minutes. walk from the central station Victoria and in front of the underground station St. Jamse it Park. Short walk to Buckingham Palace and St. James it Park and Westminster Abbey.

Service

German-speaking staff at the front desk. Rooms were cleaned. In the restaurant area (breakfast only used) almost only young staff from abroad (Eastern European). Accordingly the service is not a 4 star hotel.

Restaurant available but not used by us. Breakfast was little amazing and is certainly not a German 2 star hotel in the slightest. Staff seem unsafe and spacey. The breakfast itself was bad. The rolls were rock hard, it was up every day only toast. Fresh fruit salad and fruit was available. Selection of cold meats/cheese and jam very well arranged. It was coffee or tea, no latte or similar to choose from.

Double room with two twin beds although as a couple and checked in. Room to the Versorgungshof with lot of noise in the morning. The room with the charm of the 20 's. Plumbing, if you were lucky. overall small, dated and the windows were closed. both cold and noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms was usual. It's far from a 4 star hotel. The mini bar was empty. Terrible room!

Tips and recommendations

If you the historic feel (ballroom, fire place ... ) looks with central location, this is the place, Provided you is tough concerning breakfast and the room. We didn't like it. Had other hotels in UK in 3 star and they were not bad. Because of the location and ambience is the price for the UK have been OK. In Germany could you get a much higher price in particular, the proposed renovation. in January - March 31 , 2011 the rooms and toilets and sound insulation. You really needed it.
