Steigenberger Hotel Golf Resort

The hotel is located directly on the golf course; trips to el Gouna are quite possible; the neighboring hotels, that one can visit, are also interesting.

Aside from gastronomy, the service is very good; the personnel are very helpful. Linda, a German worker at the reception was very helpful and competent.

The service is partially good, but it has to be bought. Things go very smoothly, but only with tips.
Perhaps that lies on the Arabic mentality. We have visited Arabic countries 2 times and that was extremely noticeable. That is why I will not vacation there again.
WE booked AL, so that we could also eat something small during the noon/afternoon.
The service is not too good at the pool bar and terrace. It takes a long time before you receive the food or drinks. It is SOMEWHAT faster during the evening time.
The food was good and diversified (just like in a 4 star hotel).
We missed things such as grilled fish or meat.

It was not so important for us as we played golf 3x a week.
Unfortunately, one can only go to the beach with a shuttle, even though there is sand at the lagoon I would not label it as a beach. The water was only around 20 degrees warm.
The pool is well heated.
During the evening there was not too much entertainment, the live music singers sing a couple of songs, but rather take recess. Therefore, one in search of entertainment should look for another hotel or go to El Gouna.

We were very satisfied with our suitable 4 star hotel room.

It is approximately 25 degrees warm, but the wind is very cold. You will need a jacket for the evening. The hotels in Soma Bay should be much better. But the golf course is not as nice and the hotels are more expensive. Starting the 2nd day we took preventatives for diarrhea, Tannacomp, which is harmless. It has always helped us on our trips, we've never had diarrhea.
