Certainly not 5 star accommodation.
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were not informed that the hotel is undergoing extensive renovations & that only the gourmet restaurant was open -there was also no reduction in tarrif.
We had booked a Superior room and were shown into a very small, dingy & poorly decorated room, badly in need of renovation. When I enquired at reception if we had been allocated the correct room as it bore no resemblance to the rooms shown on the in-room TV advertising I was told quite rudely that the photos shown must be post renovation. My husband also enquired about using the Wi-fi and had to pay an exorbitant amount for 2 day's use. When he told reception that this was the only hotel throughout Europe, including some small country hotels, where we had been required to pay, he was also treated in an extremely off-hand manner.
