Steigenberger in Mannheim, top *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AVery good location, right on the water tower. Short walks to the Christmas market and the pedestrian area. Parking in the public garage with direct access to the hotel. Reduced to 12,00 euros per day. Hotel interior newly renovated, bright, clean and friendly. Nice courteous staff in all areas. We had booked the 'welcome to Mannheim'., got an upgrade to a junior suite. Suite was very large with closet room, living room, bedroom with very good bed including new sufficient pillows to choose from, parquet floors. Rooms are bright, friendly and without any signs of use. Bathroom with double sinks, bathtub with shower, toilet, toiletries. Very good condition without signs of wear. Suite and bathroom was very clean. Breakfast buffet with very good selection, there was everything even freshly squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine. Nice efficient staff. The restaurant for dinner with very good kitchen. The house should be fully booked including the festival halls, it is the bad service due to lack of staff. This was on the evening Friday happened. But the next day more than good. The restaurant was clean, bright with a view of the inner courtyard. Conclusion: nice friendly hotel for further recommendation. The negative reviews we couldn't understand and are partly covered according to our opinion.
